This DYMO photo of Mary Beth was one of the first of the project, when I was asking people to use a couple of separate words to describe themselves. Not a great finished photo but I wanted to include it because I just loved the subject. Mary Beth was a portrait client of mine. An Episcopalian Reverend. Smart and funny and kind, I remember being at a gallery show in Boston where my portrait of Mary was hanging and hearing one of the gallery curators say 'Mary Beth is so lovely it's almost enough to make me join the church!'
